On a cold New York night, the intersection of fashion and art collided in Tribeca for an intimate Fashion Week dinner with Brazilian flair. The occasion? Farfetch’s celebration of Brazilian brand Osklen’s Tarsila do Amaral capsule collection, sold exclusively online at Farfetch. Tarsila, as the talented late Brazilian artist and style icon is known, is widely celebrated in Brazil for her colorful modernist paintings. Her work has been making the rounds in America as of late, following a show at the Art Institute of Chicago and, now, an exhibition at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art. Tarsila, who was profiled by French Vogue in the 1920s, is having a renaissance of well-deserved recognition.
