The International Fashion Set Joined Marta Ortega for the “Peter Lindbergh: Untold Stories,” Exhibition Opening

Marta Ortega has had quite a week. Quickly following the news of her ascension to fashion giant retailer Indetix’s throne, the daughter of the company’s founder also played host to the international art and fashion community alongside Benjamin Lindbergh for a soirée to celebrate the late Peter Lindbergh’s first major exhibition in A Coruna, Spain.
Entitled “Peter Lindbergh: Untold Stories,” the exhibition is a retrospective of the photographer’s four-decade career which was carefully curated by Lindbergh himself, shortly before his untimely death in 2019. Over 150 images span across the exhibition’s walls and vividly capture the majesty of Lindbergh’s lasting effect on both the fashion and photography world.
In attendance was Naomi Campbell, who posed next to and adored the Lindbergh’s photographs of the original supermodels, including Linda Evangelista, Kate Moss, and Naomi herself. Creative directors Pierpaolo Piccioli and Claire Waight Keller took in Lindbergh’s various cinematic black and white portraits while Emmanuelle Alt and David Chipperfield were spotted nearby.
Following the private viewing of the exhibition, guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers prepared by chef Albert Adria. Dinner, prepared by Galician Chef Culler de Pau, was then served while British singer Lianne La Havas serenaded the evening’s guests. In short, the celebration wasn’t just glamorous: it was emotional and filled with sentiment felt by the community who knew the famed photographer best. Lindbergh spent his life celebrating the lives of many of the attendees through his photographic eye. Perhaps for the evening, it was their turn to celebrate his.
