The Runway Revivals We’re Ready for in 2016 Inline

Moore’s androgynous, alpha model presence invigorated the fashion scene of the early aughts and made her a favorite of such designers as Tom Ford, Alber Elbaz, and Nicolas Ghesquière. Since stepping away from the catwalk, Moore has focused on her passion for music, but as one of the industry’s OG “bad girls,” her reemergence on the scene would be right in step with modeling’s current fascination for girls with attitude.

Onetime muse to photographers like Steven Meisel and Patrick Demarchelierand cover girl for countless fashion glossies—including Vogue’s May 2009 issue—Jagodzinska proves that classic beauty never goes out of style. All the more reason why a key appearance on the runway for the right label this year would be a thrilling reminder of her talents.

It is rare for a model to arrive on the scene with the total package—charisma, posing ability, and a killer walk—but back in 2011 Matonhodze had just that. While she garnered instant comparisons to Naomi Campbell, Matonhodze quickly proved herself skilled in her own right. Whether posing for Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott or appearing on the runway for Givenchy and Balenciaga, she made it all look easy. We’ll welcome her back with open arms.

Dziahileva’s waist-length golden hair earned her the nickname Rapunzel and the attention of the modeling world. Wide-eyed and nearly 6 feet tall, she lent her otherworldly presence to designers with a flair for drama—Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, and John Galliano, among others. Though she’s more often spotted on red carpets spanning from Cannes to Hollywood with Russian industrialist beau Dmitry Rybolovlev, seeing Dziahileva return to the catwalk would be a treat.

An edgy muse fit for fashion’s groundbreaking designers, Pérez’s gothic look was in heavy demand during the mid-2000s. Working frequently with Miuccia Prada, Rick Owens, and Riccardo Tisci, Pérez carved out a niche for herself as a model capable of pulling off even the most avant-garde creations. 2016 could provide her with an opportunity to shine once more.
