Halloween Was Kicked Off at Selby Drummond and Mazurbate’s “Post From the Grave” Themed Celebration

Rain is never a welcome visitor on a Saturday night. When Halloween parties dominate the social calendar and revelers labored hours over wigs and makeup, even the lightest drizzle can undo their carefully glued leaves and heavily teased hair.
Such concerns did not stop attendees from making the soggy journey to Chelsea’s Fleur Room, where Selby Drummond and Mazurbate hosted a riotous “Post From the Grave” themed Halloween celebration.
Amazingly, the extravagantly decorated guests managed to remain dry, their guises untarnished by the elements. The two hosts held nothing back. For her transformation into Katinka from the film Zoolander, the statuesque Drummond traded her blonde tresses for a severe black wig. An Alexander Wang minidress and studded gloves completed the look. Not one to be upstaged, Mazurbate channeled a (very high-fashion) demented nurse with a 2008 Louis Vuitton look by Richard Prince and Marc Jacobs.
Playing a dominatrix, Ezra J. William sported long black hair and a leather jumpsuit. With all the star power of “Jenny from the block,” Michael Ariano turned heads in the jungle-pattern Versace gown so infamously low-cut that, two decades ago, Google saw the need for an image search engine. Channeling Rihanna’s attitude as well as her style, Beau Jangless pranced around in a leopard bodysuit and fur stole.
Markarian designer, Alexandra O’Neill, and Savannah Engel donned celestial frocks in matching moon costumes. Their pearl-encrusted ensembles glittered under the twisting disco ball. The night captured the thrill of spooky season. Like fashion, Halloween lets fantasy run free.
