Kim Jones’s Miami Dior menswear extravaganza brought out a host of stars. But no one enjoyed the designer’s pre-fall collection more than Skin, the ever-cool lead singer of the British rock band Skunk Anansie. A fixture on the music since the 90s, her epic vocals and signature look have inspired countless designers, so it makes sense that Jones chose a remix of her song “Hedonism” as the soundtrack for his vibrant collection. Dressed in a custom cream suit from the label, Skin sat front row at the Rubell Museum and watched as models stomped down the runway to to the tune of her music.
Of course, the fun didn’t stop there. After taking in the collection, Skin enjoyed some face time backstage with her good friend Jones as well as an up-close look at the brand’s collaboration with the streetwear designer Shawn Stussy. After catching up with fellow attendees like Ladyfag and Gwendoline Christie, Skin also enjoyed checking out the vintage Chevys parked throughout the venue. Here, she takes Vogue along for each moment of her Miami adventure, from touching down in magic city to partying into the wee hours.
