“I love the Caribbean—it’s my home, my roots, and I’m an island girl for life. Turks and Caicos is a quick-and-easy destination from New York. No matter where you go, you are bound to find a breathtaking beach. I’m a water sign, and so staying at a resort with a beautiful beach is super-important! I’ll definitely go to the spa one day to pamper myself, but I’m more about being outdoors and enjoying nature and the sunshine. I do water sports when I’m there—swimming, Jet Skiing—and I eat more fish. I love how it’s cooked and seasoned in the islands.”

“Maui is seriously magic: The colors of the flora and fauna completely recharge my battery. A dear friend of mine has a place in Wailea, so I always stay there. I usually like to cook, but I am obsessed with Mama’s Fish House on the north shore—if you get a window seat, you can watch surfers battling 40-foot waves. There is an amazing health-food store called Mana Foods in Paia, with great premade food and juices and an incredible pharmacy where you can have tinctures made. And the wasabi poke at Eskimo Candy in Kihei is insane. Hiking down Haleakala Crater was one of the most surreal moments of my life—you are 10,000 feet above sea level, literally hiking above the clouds.”

“The Southwest is such an amazing place for recharging. I love the desert: the open air, the landscape, and the culture. I’ve spent time in Sedona, Arizona; Taos, New Mexico; and Marfa, Texas. I especially love El Cosmico in Marfa, where you can stay in a dreamily decorated Airstream or a yurt and shower outside under the stars. I really want to go to Amangiri resort and spa in Utah. I’ve had photos of this place hanging on my inspiration board for several seasons, and I need to make it my goal to go there this year. Everything about it looks heavenly—especially the treatments and the pool, which is built into the amazing landscape.”

“Me and my best friend, Charlotte [Wiggins], went to St. Lucia recently, and it was incredible—probably the best holiday I have ever been on. Most of the time was spent on the beach, reading our books and drinking smoothies/piña coladas, but we did a few active things. We tried paddleboarding, which was so much fun; we also did scuba diving for the first time, which was unbelievable—I’ve always wanted to do it and will definitely be doing it again. One morning after breakfast we went on a nature trail, which had great views of the iconic Pitons. We also took a sunset cruise, and on that day we were the only two that booked it! So we had a private whiz around the island, and it was absolutely beautiful. I’d go back in a heartbeat.”

“My ultimate goal with a vacation is to recharge but at the same time unplug. The ocean plays a big part when deciding a destination! This year we are planning on the San Blas Islands, an archipelago off the northern coast of the Isthmus of Panama, east of the Panama Canal—a bit of a secret spot! Growing up on the coast of Colombia and then spending such a big part of my life in California now, there is always an attraction to the simplicity of sitting by the beach, eating seafood, and enjoying great conversations. For me, that’s the true luxury of a memorable moment. My dear friend Claudia has always told incredible stories of going to these islands as a child, so I am really looking forward to enjoying a destination so close to where I grew up!”
