Here I am on a bike ride in Mekong Delta, Vietnam. A man working in the rice paddies in Bali. This is me in the open kitchen with a view of the temple. Here we are at the Temple of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. I took this on a school visit in Laos. Walking to breakfast in Koh Tao, Thailand. Andrew Rosen [CEO of Theory] with Fish. Andrew’s showing off—the depth of field makes the fish look bigger than it actually is. This is my son, Henry, on Andrew’s brand-new fishing boat. We are going about 50 miles an hour, and now, he’s about to take off his glasses and blink about 700 times. Here I am attempting to relax and get a tan with my post-knee-surgery RoboCop brace. This is going to be a key trend for next spring. My son, Noah, and David [Neville, co-creative director of Rag & Bone]’s son, Dashel, are trying to learn how to dive. Clearly a little more work needs to be done, but at least they have the facial expressions down! My wife, Glenna, with our son. We started our trip in St.-Tropez, and, I must say, it certainly deserves all the hype. Beautiful, lazy beach days at the storied Le Club 55, long dinners, and late nights, surrounded by all manner of bronzed, fashionable Francophiles. In this photo, I’m taking a quick respite from the sun—perusing the wares at Le Club 55’s chic beach-shack store—I’m still dreaming of these pillows! While lounging on the beach, I made sure I had my essentials: Balenciaga leather tote turned beach bag, my trusty Panama hat, a lightweight sarong, and of course, my skin-care regimen: Clinique Sunblock (30 SPF) and Chantecaille Face Sunblock (50 SPF). From the South of France, we drove through Northern Italy, stopping in Portofino for a late-afternoon lunch. It’s such a quaint, charming port town; all you really need is an afternoon to see it all. I adored the vibrant colors of the buildings, and the delicious restaurants and shops framing the marina. Here I am overlooking the Port from the beautiful, yellow church on the hill—Chiesa di San Giorgio Maggiore—carrying the ultimate trip companion, my bright yellow Céline shoulder bag. Next we headed south to the Amalfi Coast for a few nights in Positano. We stayed at the Il San Pietro which had the most amazing private beach cove, literally nestled in the side of the cliffs. Days were spent reading on the bright orange lounge chairs and jumping into the Mediterranean for a cool-down swim. On our last night, we dined at Le Sirenuse, where we were serenaded by local musicians. Such an Italian moment, and the perfect opportunity to wear my lipstick-red Lanvin dress! Last stop, Roma. With only one day to see it all, we sped around town visiting various sites, hunting down hidden Caravaggios, and admiring the perfection of the Pantheon. All was good and well, until I was nearly excommunicated from the Church—and not just any church, St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City—for my exposed shoulders and knees. The result of 4 euros and a faux-charmeuse “Roma” scarf cover-up are what you see here. Here I am at my house in Sag Harbor. I love the fact we are on the bay. It’s so nice to just sit around and read a book, entertain friends, or watch the sunset. This is the exterior of the house. We call my guest bedroom the “80s room” because we put all our friends’ books on the shelves—from Jay McInerney to Bret Easton Ellis to Tama Janowitz. The painting is by Jeff Carpenter, who also did the cover of Bright Lights, Big City. The furniture is all mid-century modern and the curtains are reprinted bark cloth. We recently added the April Gornik painting. This pool is one of my favorite things about the place. It’s a few months before the launch of my new venture, nomad-chic.com—just the right time for a mini-getaway. Morocco was the perfect place to combine relaxation and treasure-hunting in the souks. On the first day, I arrive with my boyfriend Nick in the late afternoon to the Amanjena resort in Marrakech. It is beyond beautiful: serene and intimate. On the first day, I arrive with my boyfriend Nick in the late afternoon to the Amanjena resort in Marrakech. It is beyond beautiful: serene and intimate. I found this global unison of Moroccan snake charmers and YSL’s Parisian sophistication at the souks. El Bahia Palace. Gorgeous tilework and a variety of patterns. A close-up of the vibrant colors and textured fabrics around me. The detailing is incredible. Here I am having a coffee early in the morning in East London. Can you believe how beautiful the weather is? The newly opened restaurant at the St. John Hotel has the best cucumber salad, meat pies, and pig logo. Walk down the Thames, and you can’t miss the London Eye. If I wasn’t so scared of heights, I would have taken a spin! After my photo shoot with the photographer Raymond Meier, my husband joined me in a quaint village nestled into the Alps—here I am, taking a lunch break in the midst of a twelve-hour hike to the top of one of the tallest peaks in the area. After summiting, we slid down snowy patches towards the top and flew down the rocky trail for hours, occasionally passing a billy goat or a Swiss climber. After Switzerland we spent a week in Norway hiking with our sisters— though not as steep as the Alps, the fjords and surrounding mountains were equally astounding. Once again, I find myself donning crampons and wielding an ice pick for a climb on the Nigarsbreen Glacier. The surface was stunning and unearthly—I was hoping to absorb some of the glacier water's famous age-defying qualities.
