Telfar Takes Over Century 21 for Its NYFW After-Party
Every season since founding his eponymous label in 2005, Telfar Clemens has demonstrated true originality. From ushering in gender-fluid streetwear to using profits from a capsule collection with White Castle to bail out minors on Rikers Island, Clemens seems to operate on a higher fashion frequency than almost anyone. But at his genre-bending Fashion Week presentation in New York last night (his first since winning top honors at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund), and the swarmed after-party circuit that followed, the decorated designer proved that, in addition to $400,000 in prize money, there are plenty of tricks still up his sleeve.
