When a winter storm like Nemo strikes during New York Fashion Week, even the most flatironed and stilettoed showgoers—with the exception of Anna Dello Russo, who was spotted sans outerwear accessories—dressed for the elements. Wool beanies, snoods, and gloves were essential for editors and buyers bypassing snowbanks and enduring frigid temperatures in between shows, but these necessities present an age-old challenge: How do you make functional pieces look cool?
