Sometimes, wildly disparate things work wildly well together; it happens with food, it happens with friendships, and it definitely happens with fashion. To wit: At first glance, you would never pair sporty stripes, leopard spots, and a little bohemian flair (in the form of layered bracelets and necklaces) in the same look, but if you do—and if you do it right—the end result can be like a big breath of fresh air. The evidence: I have had this picture of Caroline Brasch Nielsen from Hanneli Mustaparta s blog in my Social Shopper file for a few weeks, and I just couldn’t say for sure what drew me to it, but then it dawned on me: The measured, modest, unexpected mixing of these three elements made the pieces look like they were made for each other. So be bold this weekend (but carefully so), and play a little mix-and-match with your wardrobe.
As always, don’t forget to weigh in via Facebook and Twitter with your own suggestions. If we like what we see, we will add it (and your name) to our list.
