Coming across this photograph of our own Lauren Santo Domingo on Citizen Couture in the middle of New York Fashion Week, something seemed suddenly clear: Head-to-toe neutral is fall’s perfect palate cleanser after a summer of frantic florals and conspicuous color-blocking. Then, as if on cue, a few days later, Calvin Klein opened his spring 2012 runway show with a series of full looks made up of all pale nudes and pinks. Yes, monochrome is having a moment and why not? It’s the perfect way to segue into a new season, and to help you with the transition, we picked out a few of our favorite pieces. Please let us know what you would add to the list via Facebook and Twitter.
