There Was No Shortage of Naked and Barely There Dresses at the 2025 Met Gala

These days, no red carpet is without naked and barely there dresses, and the 2025 Met Gala was no different. Tonight the stars made the case for risqué, mixed in with nods to tailoring—from Halle Berry in a sheer pin-striped LaQuan Smith gown to Lorde’s barely there Thom Browne set.

Others went for leggy ensembles with sheer or bare gams on display, including Blackpink’s Lisa and Helen Lasichanh, who opted for logo’d-out Louis Vuitton tights. And some, like Aurora James and Natasha Lyonne, chose gauzy, transparent dresses perfect for spring.
