Last Night, NYFW Cool Kids Teased Thom Browne’s Latest Tartans

Donning Thom Browne’s signature gray tartan, 10 of New York Fashion Week’s most out-and-about figures made their way uptown to The Grill (a TB favorite) to celebrate the launch of Browne’s special NYFW tartan collection. 

This year, instead of adhering to the traditional fashion week schedule, Browne is opting for a more momentous approach to showing his collections. The Fall 2022 collection (with his officially-registered Scottish tartan surely taking center stage) will make its debut on April 29, just days ahead of the Met gala. 

“It was nice being able to do something small for this moment and to really fill in the space of what’s happening here in New York,” Browne told Vogue’s Steff Yotka of the preview. “It is especially nice to keep the momentum going throughout the year, as opposed to just always relying on those four collection shows.”

Euphoria stars Angus Cloud and Maude Apatow posed in their gray getups—looking as if the hit HBO series was set at a chic Scottish boarding school. Also sitting around the tartan table were actors and fashion It kids like Chase Sui Wonders, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Katerina Tannenbaum, Richie Shazam, Ajani Russell, Chloe Wise, Miyako Bellizzi, Ian Bradley, and Antwaun Sargent.
