“I believe that the most powerful secret for every woman are her eyes. It doesn’t matter how your skin looks or how beautiful you are if your eyes are sad. The most important thing is to be happy. Just try to fall in love—and it is better if you do it with yourself. This is the first and the most important beauty secret. Also, my grandmother always looked much younger for her age. She never spent time or money on beauty procedures, but she stretched every day and went for massages. And nothing can be better than coconut oil for your body right after a bath.”

“The best beauty treatment is a scrub that you can easily do by yourself: It’s coffee grounds or oatmeal mixed with olive oil. I also love using baby cream when in Ukraine, as it is so rich and better than any of the beauty creams.”

“We have lots of family secrets for hair care. One, which I do once a week, is a treatment that my grandmother taught me: a mask for the hair with honey and homemade yogurt. It is very natural and really effective. Another that I do once a month is egg yolk and a few drops of burdock oil for increased hair growth and nourishment. One of my favorite products for the face is rose water. I always take it with me on a long flight!”

“In Ukraine, all plants, fruits, and vegetables are very healthy because of our fertile soils. I use many natural products to make my skin, hair, and nails better. For example, face masks: Even mashed strawberry or cucumber gives good results and has a clearing effect. If it’s winter, I’m good with a chamomile ice cube for refreshing my face in the morning. My grandmother shared with me a great homemade recipe for hair and it’s very simple: You just need to boil some lovage and rinse your hair with it! And in my opinion, the most helpful product for my nails is aloe. I just take a sliced aloe leaf and put it on nails for a couple minutes after a manicure.”

“I go to the banya once a week, especially after a hangover or a party, usually on the weekends. I take scrubs for the body, face, and feet. Then I take a cold shower after the banya. Your face after the banya process will just breathe.”
