I don’t know what it is about a bag with zippered turrets and towers that makes my heart soar, but I can’t think of a cooler backpack to wear this summer when zipping around town on my Flying Pigeon bicycle.

I’ve been eyeing this A.P.C. bag since I saw it. I appreciate its simplicity, its weekday-to-weekend possibilities, and its relatively small size. Like everybody, I tend to accumulate a lot of unnecessary junk in my bag, but in this one, I won’t be able to. In the spring and summer it’s good to feel as unencumbered as possible. Nice price, too!

I’m not much of a handbag freak, but lately I’ve been feeling mini bags—the smaller and the dinkier, the better. And that’s why I’ve got my eye on Phillip Lim’s Alix mini. It’s small without any of the cutesy-ness, and the chunky paper clip closure has an industrial vibe I can get with. Plus, I feel like there is something so fresh and clean about white accessories in the spring.

There are two on my list at the moment. Victoria Beckham’s Half Moon is my most coveted at the moment since I saw it in September, but nothing makes my heart swoon more than Hermès’s Birkin Grizzly bag in suede. Light and elegant, it goes with everything from day to night.
