Bel Powley Documents The Morning Show’s New York City Premiere

The Morning Show is one of TV’s most anticipated series. Debuting November 1 on the new streaming platform Apple TV+, the show stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon as two journalists navigating the cutthroat world of morning news. It also features the 27-year-old English actor Bel Powley, who plays Claire Conway, a personal assistant pursuing her media dreams in New York City. Last night, Powley and the rest of the cast celebrated the world premiere of their buzzy show—and Powley documented the whole affair exclusively for Vogue.
Powley began her busy day with an early call time, hitting up Good Morning America for an appearance with her costars. (She wore a floral dress by the Vampire’s Wife with a ruffled hem and puffed shoulders.) Then, it was back to her hotel room at the Four Seasons to doll herself up for the big premiere night ahead (after a quick FaceTime session with her mother, of course).
The actor worked with hair stylist Owen Gould, who gave her a chic fishtail braid, and makeup artist Min Min Ma, who made her skin look luminous. For her red-carpet look, Powley collaborated with stylist Cher Coulter. The pair chose a layered tulle dress from Simone Rocha’s recent spring 2020 collection, complete with a dainty tablecloth print. (An English garden-party vibe fit for a stylish English actor.) Statement earrings and a hefty platform were added to counteract the sweetness of her gown. Then Powley headed out the door and hit the step and repeat at Lincoln Center in grand style.
Below, Powley’s getting-ready photo diary from the night.
