Getting Ready With Camila Morrone Ahead of Her Mickey and the Bear Screening

Last night, Coach hosted a private screening for the upcoming film release Mickey and the Bear in Los Angeles, California. The movie, which arrives in cinemas on November 13, stars actress Camila Morrone: who is also featured in Coach’s new holiday campaign alongside Megan Thee Stallion, Yara Shahidi, Kate Moss, and more. For the special premiere, Morrone documented the getting-ready process exclusively for Vogue.
“I wanted to do something for the screening that was totally different than what the guests were going to see on screen,” said Morrone of her red carpet look last night. “I always like there to be a contrast to what I am playing. . . so I went for an edgy, effortless denim dress that I was able to be a little more fun with the makeup.” Even if the actress said she was “scared and terrified” of playing her character, a headstrong teen named Mickey Peck, her look for the special premiere was just as bold and independent.
The getting-ready process began back in her hotel room, where Morrone’s glam squad got to work: together, makeup artist Ash K Holm and hairstylist Bryce Scarlett created a sultry, effortless beauty look on her that was perfect for the intimate screening. Then, it was time to slip into the night’s fashions. With the help of her stylist, Micah Schifman, Morrone chose a polished-but-casual denim dress from Coach’s Spring 2020 collection, dressing it up with black strappy heels and a standout accessory: a leather shoulder bag by the label, made in collaboration with Richard Bernstein, that featured an illustration of Barbra Streisand.
After the look was set and finished, it was time for Morrone to head on out to the event, where notable guests—including the film’s director Annabelle Attanasio, Morrone’s co-star James Badge Dale, Naomi Campbell, Sofia Boutella, Suki Waterhouse, and more—sipped on cocktails and celebrated the stylish actress’s new starring role in the project.
