Olivia Colman’s understated take on Queen Elizabeth II, Colin Morgan’s meme-worthy hot reporter, and Josh O’Connor’s sympathetic portrayal of Prince Charles currently have the internet buzzing. The series also has plenty to offer off-screen. The lead-up to its premiere yielded a wealth of memorable looks by leads like Colman and Helena Bonham-Carter while introducing the world to a brand new style star: Erin Doherty. In the role as Anne, Princess Royal, the 27-year-old actress is garnering raves for her performance and the elegant looks she has chosen for The Crown’s ongoing slate of premieres and press dates.

Doherty first made waves on hit BBC period drama Call the Midwife, but it is her performance as the no-nonsense royal that has propelled her into the spotlight. As the cast has traveled the globe to promote the show, Doherty and her stylist, Fabio Immediato, have relied on fashions that are regal yet modern. At last week’s world premiere in London, that meant a crimson tulle Dolce Gabbana party frock with a hint of transparency.
