Some people are fans of practical gifts, like a sweater. Others want an experience, like a beach getaway or ski trip. One of my favorite gifts to receive? The ability to be a voyeur into your holiday season.
I live for social media posts of ornament-laden trees with piles of color-coordinated packages beneath them. And for Instagram stories of people unwrapping presents with nary a care for their delicate camellia bows or designer ribbons. (“Save them!” I silently scream, proving my grandmother is still with me in spirit.) Every time a holiday rolls around, I’m waiting to see what the Kardashians will get up to—matching golf carts for all the kids on Christmas? Hermès china, ultimately returned? I love to see it all.
