Most people prioritize comfort when dressing for the airport (you know, in case you have to run to your gate last minute, or plan on sleeping on the plane). But if you’re an A-list celebrity, rolling up to the terminal is just another opportunity to make a fashion statement—especially because the paparazzi is usually waiting for them. Case in point: Angelina Jolie rolled up to JFK airport in New York yesterday in a dressy ensemble that almost works as black-tie. What, you don t wear stilettos in the TSA line?

The actor wore a tailored, double-breasted coat over a black top and dress trousers. While layering for a plane is a comfy styling move, her sky-high pumps were not. I admire anyone who can teeter through the airport in stilettos—it’s a commitment.

Her carry-on, meanwhile, was the monogrammed Celine tote that she’s been carrying everywhere this summer. It’s a pretty stylish option for carting around a water bottle, portable chargers, and snacks. She also wore huge aviator shades to go incognito, as though her whip-smart attire wouldn’t give her away. The check-in counter is her runway!
