In 2026, the bride will not be all dressed in white. More and more designers are offering wedding looks in colorful hues to provide options for those who don’t want to stick to one shade over the course of their celebrations. While you might find the occasional bold bride in a saturated hue, we can see that softer shades of gray, blue, yellow, and pink are going to be the new standard when it comes to deviating from the traditional white dress.

While the neck scarf defined the 2025 bride, we are sure to see capes everywhere in 2026. This dramatic addition is a great alternative to a veil for those who want a train, yet have a distinct volume and structure that lends a look a retro elegance. Of course, capes can be chosen that fit your own bridal aesthetic, from bold coat-like constructions to dreamy lace creations to glamorous opera capes that drape nonchalantly over the arms.

While there is absolutely a place for the minimalist bride in 2026, those who want to add something extra to their looks through embellishments will absolutely find options in the latest international collections. While plenty bring on sparkle with sequins and jeweled appliqués, others have enhanced their designs with woven appliqués that add organic texture to a gown.

Gowns have the ability to alter and enhance the body s figure with strategic, well-crafted constructions from waist-whittling inner corsetry to defined shoulder. This season, we see an emphasis placed on the hips. Designers are playing with proportions and adding volume to the region with cage-like boning, padded interiors, and tulle overlays. While some of these adjustments are subtle, others bring an editorial-esque look to one s bridal style.

We re calling it—the halter will be the neckline we see everywhere at 2026 weddings. As more brides are choosing separate looks for the reception, a halter is a perfect option that gives your arms the freedom to easily move about the dance floor. Designers in a majority of collections this season have put their own mark on this silhouette with looks that complement every bridal style.

Lace is always a classic material seen in the bridal world but this season has brought about plenty of styles that use the fabric in designs evocative of lingerie. Often unlined, this sheer look can bring a sexy touch to a bridal ensemble for those who want to show off a hint of skin when they walk down the aisle or live it up into the late hours of their wedding after-party.
