Business codes have come a long way from the classic suit and tie. They’ve surpassed archaic gender norms and roles, becoming a staple category for women as a whole. While Saint Laurent’s spring/summer 2025 show challenged us to embrace androgyny and volume, the season’s crop of blazer offerings feature more than just an oversized frame. There’s an unexpectedly perky, feminine, and inviting tone to the jacket styles on our wish lists, especially considering how the lengthy the double-breasted boxy blazer’s reign has been.

Plenty of new silhouettes have emerged for the season, from Proenza Schouler’s hourglass shape (which looks so delicious over crisp shirting) to the asymmetric cut of a Bite Studios blazer and the contoured waist of Wardrobe.NYC’s tailored blazer. Haven’t you heard? Waists are back—and we’re showing them off with cropped blazers and ladylike jackets from The Garment and Simkhai. The hemlines look contemporary when coupled with high-rise pleated trousers, suede sneakers, or even a track pant. And although linen is nothing new, there are modernized shapes cast from the summer-ready fabric. There are single fold-over necklines from Loulou de Saison, padded shoulders from Posse, and scoop-neck styles from Aligne.
All of these fresh finds, and more of the best spring blazers, that can—and will—breathe new life into your warm-weather wardrobe.
A Little Linen
Few fabrics evoke the feeling of spring and summer quite like linen. Quality, crisp, textured linen, especially from Frame, The Row, and Gia Studios, feels especially fresh for workweeks and beyond.
Crop it Like it’s Hot
Designers love to look at staple silhouettes and rework them, and that goes for the latest drop of blazers, too. Waist-skimming, rib-hugging, and sometimes belly-bearing, cropped blazers are making a splash. Wear them over breezy white dresses or sheer separates.
The New Silhouettes
Signature shapes, like double-breasted, single-button styles, are getting a makeover this spring. After all, the warmer weather often elicits change for designers, and the fashion set yearning to switch things up. Do so with sculpted, asymmetric, and shrunken blazers from Khaite, Massimo Dutti, and more.
Blooming Hues
Set aside your neutrals in favor of something poppier. We’ll always need our grey and white blazers, but for now, we’re eyeing scintillating bursts of blue from Lafayette 148 New York, and Zara, and pinks from Dries Van Noten and J.Crew. Wear yours with all-white looks.
Creative Crafting
There are ways to embrace the new styles of now without completely foregoing the classic shapes and hues. In fact, the coolest embellished blazers count on a foundation of go-to silhouettes. Case in point, look at Plan C’s double-breasted blazer, adorned with sequins and fringe. Or, check out Rosie Assoulin for floral sleeves, and Zimmermann for an allover lace detail that screams, “It’s finally nice out!”
In a Cinch
What easier way is there to add femininity back into business than with cinched and belted waists? There are affordable finds from Zara and Other Stories, and more investment purchases to be made at Victoria Beckham and Loewe. Keep your bottoms streamlined and slender to balance the form.
