Rio de Janeiro is famous for its Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, but as any local will tell you, just because it’s a beach town doesn t mean fashion goes out the window. There’s some serious shopping to be enjoyed. Vintage-wise, the scene isn t as strong as that in São Paulo, but there are noteworthy spots that offer secondhand designer pieces—especially if you re interested in labels.

Below is a shortlist of some of our favorite secondhand and vintage stores in Rio de Janeiro, curated in collaboration with the editors at Vogue Brazil.

Here, the focus isn’t on vintage (read: pieces that are 20 + years old) but mint and excellent condition designer fashion and accessories—emphasis on the accessories before Personal Brecho has a superb assortment of Balenciaga, Loewe, and Bottega Veneta bags.
