All of us want to channel our inner Beyoncé. That much is clear after the US leg of her Renaissance world tour, which sold out silver sequined ensembles and cowboy hats across the country.
This November, we’ll be one step closer to channeling—and even smelling—like her: The singer is launching her very own fragrance, named “Cé Noir.”
Beyoncé (who, I once heard, is possibly allergic to fragrance) has dipped into perfume entrepreneurship in the past. At the height of her “Halo” era (a.k.a. 2010), she released Beyoncé Heat, a fruity-sweet scent with notes of peach, almond, and orchid.
Cé Noir, however, is very emblematic of her current vibe. Inside the mirrored silver bottle (which has a shape similar to the iconic Mary Katrantzou trompe l’oeil perfume bottle ensemble she wore on tour) are notes of clementine, golden honey, rose absolute, jasmine, and golden amber. Golden honey feels like a nod to her song “PURE/HONEY.”
Was she sending hints this entire time? Seems like it.
