“It’s not the diamonds, it’s not the pearls,” and it’s not the looks either. Still, when Beyoncé wears something, it’s impossible to look away—it’s simply what being that girl means. With Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé hitting theaters on December 1, you’ll be able to relive, or experience for the first time, every moment from the Renaissance World Tour, including Mrs. Carter’s ever-growing lineup of performance looks. Keep in mind that each look was made for her, our resident “Alien Superstar.” Talk about being one of one.
A shortlist of the looks includes recreations of a vintage Mugler bee headpiece and custom bedazzled Miu Miu jorts; Tiffany Co. “couture” and a few Balmain looks alongside Beyoncé’s “Renaissance Couture” capsule with Olivier Rousteing. There’s also a delicious blood-red Ferragamo gown, full outfits in Valentino (or is that Barbie?) pink, some Rick Owens, Pucci, tons of Loewe, and even the return of Gareth Pugh.
As different as all the looks are, what Beyoncé and her team (which includes stylists Shiona Turini, Julia Sarr-Jamois, Karen Langley, and KJ Moody) have done is neatly and seamlessly bending and fitting each brand partner into a Renaissance-shaped peg. There was no singular collaboration here, no lucky label for the entire tour. Instead, there was an ever growing list of designers, one that quite literally expanded with every tour date. Beyoncé wore at least one designer from the country or city she was visiting when she was on stage. At the Meadowlands, for instance, she wore New York’s quintessential designer Marc Jacobs.
Beyoncé’s Renaissance-wear is the megawatt star equivalent of Lyst’s hottest brands index, a who’s who of the labels that matter this minute. The best part for us eagle-eyed runway fanatics? Casey Cadwallader created two looks for Beyoncé. The first was a riff of his popular corset styles, and the second provided a faithful reinterpretation of Mr. Mugler’s original bee headpiece from his spring 1997 couture collection, here paired with an architectonic body armor.
Pucci
Camille Miceli reimagined Emilio Pucci’s archival Giardino print for her fall 2023 collection, which Beyoncé teased with this custom look.
Loewe
Jonathan Anderson’s “hands-on” bodysuit was one of the most-talked-about looks of the Renaissance World Tour. Both of the outfits he made for Beyoncé borrow from his fall 2022 collection for Loewe.
Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs designed two looks for Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. The first was a throwback to his spring 2013 collection, and the second a sparkly version of the opening look from his fall 2023 lineup.
Ralph Lauren
No one does Old Hollywood glamour quite like Ralph Lauren. The white gown has been a staple at the designer’s shows for decades, and this year it was a staple on the Renaissance World Tour, too.

Rabanne designer Julien Dossena leaned into the house’s most iconic staples, disc paillettes, to create this custom look for the Washington DC leg of Beyoncé’s tour.
Nina Ricci
Harris Reed revived a look from his debut collection at Nina Ricci for Beyoncé. The black velvet bodysuit’s sweetheart neckline is straight out of the Nina Ricci archives.
Carolina Herrera
For his resort 2023 collection Wes Gordon gave the Carolina Herrera-signature classic cotton shirt an update with a draped dramatic hood. Beyoncé wore a version that was transformed into a dress.

Filippo Grazioli of Missoni found inspiration for this look in an embroidered dress he made for his first outing at the Italian label.
Alberta Ferretti
“I gotta fan myself off,” sings Beyoncé in “Heated.” The Italian designer Alberta Ferretti immortalized the lyric in this fan-tastic red look.

Fausto Puglisi has a knack for onstage dressing—he’s also outfitting Taylor Swift for her own megatour. Here, the designer played with fire to create another heated look for Beyoncé, one somewhat reminiscent of the denim patchwork he presented for fall 2023.

Queen B-meets-perfume bottle in this recreation of Mary Katrantzou’s iconic trompe l’oeil perfume bottle dress from her fall 2009 ready-to-wear collection. She accessorized it with a custom bottle top headpiece made in collaboration with Stephen Jones.

Spanish designer Arturo Obegero decided to “remix” two looks from his past collections for this custom look for Beyoncé that featured his signature theatrical flair.
