Ryan Murphy’s forthcoming TV series The Beauty marks a major acting coup for Bella Hadid. While she featured in Yellowstone as cowgirl Sadie, playing Ruby—a woman who contracts a sexually transmitted disease that makes the host absurdly beautiful, at the expense of death—is a more high-stakes role that required a lot of Hadid. She did her own stunts for the satirical sci-fi body horror, and photos from the set show her in covered in blood with slashed legs—all while wearing very cool, mid-riff exposing red leathers and riding a motorcycle.
Stepping out for the New York premiere at the Museum of Modern Art on January 14, Hadid wore a silky Schiaparelli couture fall 2025 gown in that same fire red color. While the midriff stayed concealed, the halterneck bias cut dress featured a trompe l’oeil bodice with sheer diamond-shaped panelling down the hips and train. Jewelry was kept minimal, with Chopard diamond and silver rings and stud earrings, and she wore a pair of delicate red stilettos.
Hadid wore her still-blonde hair in a slicked, side-parted bun and bronzed makeup.
The Beauty, which drops January 21, sees Ashton Kutcher play a dodgy tech businessman “who has secretly engineered a miracle drug dubbed ‘The Beauty,’ who will do anything to protect his trillion-dollar empire,” as the show’s official synopsis reads. Evan Peters and Rebecca Hall play government agents investigating some mysterious deaths of some very hot people, with Isabella Rossellini and Anthony Ramos also starring. Meghan Trainer and Ben Platt will also make cameos.
Last night’s premiere marked Hadid’s first major red carpet moment of 2026, having avoided any awards ceremony or glitzy gala so far. Instead, Hadid started the year in celeb ski haunt Aspen, keeping up her killer street style despite the frigid temperatures in vintage leathers and denim, and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy-coded fits. It looks like the biker-coded looks from The Beauty have lived on in Hadid’s wardrobe, too.
Earlier in the day, the model was also spotted out and about in Soho. This time, opting for a cobalt blue-led look via Saint Laurent, with a tie-neck blouse and paperbag leather skirt. She toted a Saint Laurent Mombasa leather bag on her shoulder, and sported some oversized Saint Laurent Esther sunglasses and pointed patent slingback pumps.
Striking colors are becoming something of a trend, on the awards season circuit and the streets. At the 2026 Golden Globes, dresses were every color of the crayon box. There was Amal Clooney in cherry red Balmain, Laufey in satsuma Balenciaga, and Wunmi Mosaku in brilliant yellow.
Whether we get a mini press tour wardrobe from Bella Hadid or not is yet to be seen, but this singular punt at method dressing did the job. It’s probably back to chaps and Y2K vintage business as usual soon.
