At the 2022 Met Gala, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” co-host Blake Lively hit the Met steps in a bronze Versace dress, which unfurled into a sprawling turquoise gown meant to mimic the patina on the Statue of Liberty. Consider it one of the most memorable looks in recent years.

On Sunday, Lively transported us back to her Met Gala look of yore at the New York City premiere of Another Simple Favor. She hit the red carpet in a turquoise Tamara Ralph dress—a corset with criss-crossing straps over a nude overlay with a draped, drop-waist skirt that flowed around her. (Lively, a noted fan of Ralph, has turned to the designer on several occasions.)

She accessorized her look with a pair of large turquoise drop earrings, and complementary pink and rose gold rings and bracelets—reminiscent of the color palette she wore three years ago on the Met steps.

Later on in the night, Lively changed into a second look: a butter yellow tee and belted A-line maxi skirt from Sergio Hudson. An expert method dresser, she paid homage to her character, Emily, with her accessorizing, adding a cheeky martini purse to her more pared-down outfit. But her shoes—a pair of turquoise and yellow rhinestone Christian Louboutins—harkened back to her original look from the night.

So, it begs the question: Is Blake Lively’s turquoise dress any indication of whether or not we’ll see her at the 2025 Met Gala next Monday? We’ll just have to stay tuned.
