Bryce Dallas Howard, Gina Rodriguez, and More Toast Talent at the 2nd Annual Moët Moment Film Festival

“I did this because I was once a broke actor trying to make my dreams come true,” said Gina Rodriguez, a returning judge at last night’s Moët Moment Film Festival. And the setting, Los Angeles’s latest hot boîte, the Doheny Room, was positively bubbling between the golden Champagne-filled goblets and the buzzy energy from the evening’s stars. While the competition is just kicking off and the final winner won’t be announced for a few months, the judges were optimistic about the new entries. “The short format is a great school,” said Hollywood Foreign Press Association president and competition judge Lorenzo Soria. Any hints on what to expect at Sunday’s Golden Globes? “The biggest surprises and the best are the ones we cannot even anticipate,” said Soria. Any films or stars he’s rooting for? “Not going to get it!” he said with a laugh.

One way the nominees will calm their nerves is with the evening’s official cocktail, crafted by actress Olivia Culpo. “It’s called the Moët Diamond, and it’s finished with rock candy that kind of resembles diamonds,” said Culpo, wearing a winter white ensemble from Jenny Packham. Does the star and aspiring mixologist know what she’ll be donning come Sunday? “I’m fitting it on Saturday,” said Culpo, adding, “I’m cutting it close!” As for fashion resolutions for the New Year, Culpo is going to trust herself more but punctuate looks with a street style favorite—the furry shoe. But Rodriguez has already followed through early in the year. “I did today,” exclaimed the actress. “I didn’t wear a bra.”
