In her new music video for "Be Careful," the an-eye-for-an-eye anthem her fans just can t get enough of, Cardi B channels Quentin Tarantino s 2003 epic Kill Bill as a spurned lover, marrying and burying her groom in one fell swoop. And being the rising beauty star she is, the Bronx rapper and mother-to-be naturally served up a striking look for each momentous occasion, her shapeshifting hair doing much of the talking with help from hairstylist Tokyo Stylez.

In the beginning of the Jora Frantzis-directed video, Cardi stands in an old-fashioned church in the middle of the desert, wearing a voluminous strapless wedding gown, dripping in diamonds, and clutching a floral bouquet as her cascade of white-platinum lengths whip in the wind celestially. Iridescent, winged smoky eyes, creamy pink lips, and a glowing complexion complete her heaven-sent look as she and her cowboy hat-festooned groom say their I dos.

But halfway through the video, things take a decidedly wicked turn, and Cardi reappears as a vengeful lady in a black bustier and jacket, unabashedly calling the shots at her philandering husband s funeral. Behind the curtain of Swarovski crystals dangling from her dramatic wide-brimmed chapeau, her mouth is saturated in a nefarious green onyx shade with a matching cut-crease gaze. But it s the view from behind that proves most stirring, as the hip-hop star reveals a shocking hot pink ponytail going all the way down her back, with a chromatic, U-pinned cuff at the base and round rings linking her extreme lengths (à la Dior s futuristic Spring 2015 couture hair look) as ornamental displays of power.

Sure, her looks are decidedly more glamorous than that of the Bride (aka Beatrix Kiddo), played by Uma Thurman in Tarantino s iconic film, but there s no doubt the fierce protagonist would approve of Cardi s take-no-prisoners rhymes and bold, above the neck vengeance.
