Here comes the… bride? At the premiere of Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights in London tonight, Charli XCX may have walked the red carpet—but she looked ready to walk down the aisle in her custom bridal couture.
The striking look, from Erdem’s fall 2026 collection, centered on a pale pink gown with crystal embroidery and an explosive tulle skirt—replete with a matching pink tulle veil. Of course, there was a specific reason that Charli—who did all the original music for the film—and her stylist, Chris Horan, veered so bridal.
Any fans of the Emily Brontë book (or the earlier film adaptations) will know that a formal wedding plays a central point in the plot (no spoilers, promise)—so you could consider Charli’s bridal garb a form of method dressing, a high-fashion way to point back to the story’s themes.
Then again, someone like Charli doesn’t exactly need an excuse to embrace the theatrical. Throughout the Wuthering Heights press tour, she and Horan have cultivated looks that have nodded to the late-18th century setting of the film. At the Hollywood premiere last month, for one, she donned a sculptural beige Vivienne Westwood creation that featured a dimensional, bustle-like waistline shape—and for the photo call, she leaned into black lace, pairing a vintage John Galliano lace top (from 2003) with a Saint Laurent skirt.
Her ethereal bridal moment tonight, however, is her best look yet—especially when you consider that she has been juggling another press tour, for her mockumentary, The Moment, at the same time. The fashions simply never stop.
