But here’s the thing: what Sevigny did last weekend, while running errands in Manhattan, was far more challenging than anything the “Damn, really makes you think” contingent of Twitter could imagine. She introduced a pair of Mary Jane Birkenstocks to the fashion cognoscenti. And just ahead of Frieze, no less! The actor paired these unusual shoes with a wipe-clean mac and striped socks.
Sevigny also looked as though she was perhaps starring as an overworked personal assistant in a light-hearted film about fashion publishing.
