Elsa Hosk ushers us into her sunlit Soho loft and shimmies into a pair of light peach J Brand jeans. “I love pastel jeans,” she says, as her small gray cat bounds into the room. “They make me happy, especially for summer, wearing a yellow jean or a lavender—pink is obviously one of my favorite colors, so I’d rock this one.”
Good denim is a staple for the Victoria’s Secret Angel (Hosk wears it every four out of seven days), and she ticks off a long history of obsessions: ’70s high-waisted bell-bottoms (from a Swedish vintage shop), low-slung True Religion jeans (from her parents), and of course, the classic Levi’s 501s (she owns some 30 pairs). “I feel like you have to get millions to get that one pair that fits you like a glove,” she says. Other tips: Avoid stretch, try a high waist, and watch where the pockets sit. This pastel high-rise crop checks all the boxes. A floral silk slip becomes a camisole, and the throwback moment is complete.
