Emily Ratajkowski went vampy—and vintage—for the 2024 Met Gala.
The model and writer wore a rare fall-winter 2001 archive Atelier Versace dress to the Metropolitan Museum of Art s Costume Institute Gala. The piece was sourced from Los Angeles-based Tab Vintage; in March, the digital styling shop posted a video of the a model wearing the dress during the Italian house s original couture runway show—and it seems Ratajkowski scooped it up soon after.
The crystalized, semi-transparent gown was a form-fitting choice for Ratajkowski, who is known for her embrace of naked and sheer dressing. She accessorized her look with over 108 carats of yellow diamonds from Chopard, as well as René Caovilla shoes.
In Vogue s review of the collection, the writer lauded Donatella Versace s styling of sensuality. “Donatella s couture romp was a hit: brash, bold and confident, like the celebrities that lined her front row,” they wrote. “Using lilac, deep violet, nearly fluorescent pink and golden honey, Donatella experimented with tiger and leopard motifs as well as anemones, wisteria and all sorts of printed, embroidered and stamped flowers on her sculptured body lines. Poufed skirt overlays complemented super-tight leggings; glittery spider-web dresses clung seductively to the models every curve.”
