Evanie Frausto—hairstylist to the world’s coolest and most fashionable, like Kendall Jenner, Alexa Demie, and Bella Hadid—got his start on the floor of a Bumble and Bumble salon. That’s why his new position as the hair care brand’s official global artistic ambassador is more than just a fancy title.

“It feels surreal,” the Mexican American stylist says while prepping for the Collina Strada’s Spring-Summer 2024 show at his studio, which debuts tonight. “I learned how to cut hair at Bumble and Bumble, and so many of my mentors like Jimmy Paul held this position before me.”

Frausto and his muse, the aforementioned Hadid, consistently create trends (and endless reference photos) for their work together. For fall, he’s using some of that magic to help you get ahead of the trend. Regardless of which style you use, don’t forget Frausto’s tried-and-true product, Bumble and Bumble’s Thickening Spray. “It’s one of those products that just universally make every hairstyle look better.”

If you have an Italian Bob…

“You already cut it short,” Frausto says with a smile akin to that little devil that sits on your shoulder. “Go shorter.” He predicts fall’s cut of the season will be the “bixie.” The pixie-bob hybrid looks like a longer, more lived-in version of Twiggy’s signature hair look. Models Taylor Hill and Iris Law already have variations of the cut, so you’d be in fantastically fashionable company.

If you love Supermodel Volume…

We’ve reached peak ’90s nostalgia since the drop of our September issue cover story. But for fall Frausto is predicting that the “bedhead that feels like [it’s] styled but still has a ton of volume” he’s been creating with Hadid recently will take off. The height and curls seen on models of the era like Yasmeen Ghauri and Cindy Crawford are still an important part of this vibe, just a little deconstructed.

If you dyed your hair red…

The appeal of going ginger is strong for fall, this time with a twist. “Take it darker,”  Frausto says, though he adds that this shade still falls into the world of natural hair colors. “We’re seeing people turn to a deeper shade of red, more like an auburn or dark cherry. It’s more of a hint, less bright.”
