Fashion months are known for ushering in dramatic hair transformations. Last year, in Paris, Blackpink star Jennie Kim debuted an ice-blonde style, worn straight and center-parted and a stark departure from her signature dark brown. Similarly, model Gigi Hadid showed off a razor-sharp straight bob on Versace’s spring/summer 2025 runway at Milan Fashion Week. If ever there were a time to try something new, fashion month is it. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise then, that celebrities are following in the tradition at the spring couture shows. The most recent convert? Gabrielle Union-Wade.
Seen attending the Schiaparelli show in Paris on Monday, the actor had swapped her usual styles (shoulder length or longer waves, braids, and blowouts) for an asymmetric, cheekbone-skimming bob. Worn slightly tousled and curved around her chin, the bob was the work of her longtime hairstylist Larry Sims.
It’s not the first time Union has gone short. In November, she posed for an Instagram mirror selfie with a collarbone-length midi bob. In October, she wore it slightly shorter again but this time with tousled beachy waves. In September, Union went for her short and springy natural curl texture. The lesson here? She can do it all.
Union sat with fellow actors Regina King, Kelly Rutherford, and Emily In Paris star Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu on the front row, wearing a mesh-blocked design by Daniel Roseberry (what else?) to take in the creative director’s newest collection for Schiaparelli.
