If you’re an avid TikToker, you’ve likely come across the “vanilla girl” aesthetic. The minimal look—where one exclusively wears cream or white hues—trended on the app earlier this year, when fashionable creators enjoyed cladding themselves in various coastal grandmother outfits. Not a bold color in sight! And just when you think the fad has fizzled out and headed to the Internet graveyard, Gigi Hadid revived it in Milan today.
In town for Milan Fashion Week, the model was spotted hitting the streets in a look that was casual, cool, and very vanilla girl. Hadid wore a crisp white button-up shirt and paired them with a pair of white, straight leg jeans. Her accessories, meanwhile, were more buttery and creamy—like her mini yellow top-handle bag, and her Adidas Sambas sneakers. (Her Oliver Peoples x Khaite shades are chic, too.) Hadid proved rocking neutral tones can, in fact, be a timeless look—and not at all a viral fad. Still, we’re suddenly famished for an ice cream cone.
