Gossip Girl fans were pleased to hear that the hit series is being revived earlier this week. The news instantly called for a binge watch of the hit show—and, with that, comes some present-day surprises. Besides the iconic beauty moments, statement-making headbands, and unforgettable fashion looks, Gossip Girl is also rich in celebrity cameos, many of which you’ve probably forgotten.
The musical guests on the show definitely still hold up. Remember when Blair managed to get Lady Gaga to perform “Bad Romance” at an NYU party in season three? (The nerve of all the characters to be talking over the performance.) Robyn appears in season four to sing “Hang With Me” at another ritzy Manhattan party. (My god, the music budget for this show must have been insane.) And, yet again, all the characters are too enthralled in the drama to actually take in Robyn’s set. No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani and Florence Welch also appear.
Meanwhile, other stars had minor roles. Hillary Duff starred in a few episodes; Tyra Banks played a personal assistant. Project Runway judge Tim Gunn gives Jenny Humphreys some fashion advice. And, perhaps most random of all, Ivanka Trump greets Lily van Der Woodsen at an Upper East Side get-together.
