Hari Nef, Emily Ratajkowski, and Jeffrey Tambor Attend Amazon’s Post-Emmy Party

The hardest party to get into in Hollywood is network television—but when Amazon took home its first Emmy last year for Transparent, it was clear that Jeff Bezos and the Seattle-based online retailer had an important story to tell. Cut to a short year later, and Amazon arrived to this year’s Emmys with 16 nominations, left with six wins, and, of course, celebrated just as any other network would—with an intimate celebration at the Hollywood-staple Sunset Tower Hotel. Guests arrived at the fete and immediately found themselves walking in and onto the dance floor, where actress Gaby Hoffmann could be seen dancing and celebrating the evening’s wins. Out on the terrace, the Emmy awards carried by two of the most important honorees of the evening (Gucci-clad Transparent creator Jill Soloway and the show’s star, Jeffrey Tambor) could be seen being passed around for selfies with Lisa Vanderpump and other friends. Inside, Emily Ratajkowski, who topped off her blue Zac Posen gown with a bold stripe of blue across the eye, chatted with gal pals Martina Garcia and Hari Nef, who slipped out of her Gucci dress and into an effortless Nili Lotan red slip, and exchanged words of congratulations with the evening’s winners and nominees. Guests celebrated into the night atop the covered pool, where trays of French fries outnumbered trays of champagne, and the golden glow of the Emmy statues outshone the glow of the headlights on Sunset Boulevard. Perhaps it was the Amazon logo projected onto the Sunset Tower, or the large crowd outside waiting to see the stars, but it is now clear that Amazon’s place in Hollywood is only just beginning.
