“We took away Jenna’s couch,” furniture designer Sarah Ellison said, laughing, at Wednesday night dinner hosted by Jenna Lyons to celebrate her brand’s American expansion through Design Within Reach. Indeed, Lyons’s Soho apartment was dotted with Ellison’s warm minimalist pieces, from her “Muse” sofa to her “Huggy” chair, which have found fans in everyone from Elsa Hosk to Martha Hunt.
The evening’s guests included a fittingly stylish group, including Helena Christensen, Succession actor Jihae Kim, Ruby Aldridge, and Saiyan Marley. Ceramicist Dina Nur Satti caught up with fellow artist Eny Lee Parker. Interior designers Colin King and Sarah Sherman Samuel were also in attendance, as was Architectural Digest editor-in-chief, Amy Astley.
Vegan chef Tara Thomas served up a delicious array of small plates for the affair, including masala carpaccio, spring crudite, and hazelnut stuffed dates with pickled mango. Bartenders poured glasses upon glasses of pét-nat and skin contact wine. Fittingly, much of it was enjoyed on Ellison’s cozy furniture, which made everyone feel right at (Jenna Lyons’) home.
