If 2024 was the year of the bow, then 2025 has been the year of the polka dot. We first got glimpses of the spotty revival earlier this year, when micro and macro iterations were splashed across the runways at Moschino and Fendi in all their ’80s glory. Since then, the Princess Diana-coded print has even migrated from our wardrobes into our beauty routines, with dots decorating the fingertips of A-listers and Pinterest beauty buffs alike.

Summer has been all about either the floaty polka-dot dress or the offbeat librarian pencil skirt, depending on whether you were channeling Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman or Parker Posey in Party Girl. Joining the legion of polka dot devotees—Bella Hadid is chief among them—her fellow super Kaia Gerber went for a butter yellow halterneck top from cool girl fave With Jéan for her arrival at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, adding a Gucci Jackie bag in one arm and Lewis Pullman on the other.

Known for her LA-girl-meets-athleisure wardrobe, Kaia’s off-duty looks have long been pinned to ’90s-inspired moodboards. The Gucci Jackie seems to be her current favorite accessory in her vast collection.

Suitably updated with her contemporary trophy bag and a sultry neckline, Kaia Gerber has successfully turned the nostalgic print into a Gen Z staple.
