Kim Kardashian and her $4 billion fashion brand, Skims, are on a mission to take over the world. Besides dominating the shapewear industry – she recently unveiled a provocative lingerie line, featuring bras with permanently erect nipples – Kim’s knack for securing groundbreaking collaborations highlights her entrepreneurial prowess. Skims has recently partnered with Fendi and has become the official underwear partner for the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball. Her latest feat? Skims has teamed up with Swarovski’s creative director Giovanna Engelbert to design an exclusive collection of body-contouring jewelry and crystal-encrusted shapewear.

Of course Kim is no stranger to a bejeweled accessory – remember when she famously lost her diamond earrings in the ocean while on holiday in Bora Bora? Her collaboration with Engelbert and Swarovski is an eye-catching collection of sparkly jewelry and body chains made from silver and chunky crystals, as well as Skims’s signature form-fitting dresses, intimates and bodysuits all encrusted in crystals (naturally). “It’s inspired by my Millenia jewelry collections, and we infused iconic elements from both brands,” Engelbert shares with Vogue about how they approached the partnership. In the campaign, shot by Mert Alas, Kim Kardashian is surrounded by women in their crystal-encrusted Skims.

Engelbert and Swarovski are no strangers to game-changing collaborations, either. Since joining the storied jewelry brand in 2016, Engelbert has brought a “modern dimension” to crystals, venturing into creative territories where elegance and playfulness converge. She has orchestrated collaborations with renowned luxury brands such as Aquazzura, Nike, Adidas, and Amina Muaadi, via the Swarovski Creators Lab initiative, and has pivoted Swarovski from a traditional commercial jewelry brand into a contemporary player within the luxury lifestyle realm. The partnership with Skims is a logical and natural extension of this repositioning. “Skims shares the same values of empowerment and self expression as Swarovski, and the synergy of visions between both brands has been organic and seamless,” says Engelbert. “With Swarovski known to add glamour to pop culture moments for years, and Skims always on the pulse of what’s next in the market, it’s been inspiring and delightful for the teams to collaborate together.”
