Finally, the hair tutorial everyone was asking for. Kylie Jenner delivered on the blowout full of secrets.
Following up a week of radical beauty and body transparency, Jenner once again took to TikTok to share a more light-hearted tutorial for how she gets her bombshell, curly blowout. Sitting in the chair with Cherilyn Farris, the duo broke down their process.
LA-based hairstylist Farris has coiffed flippy bobs and elegant up-dos for the likes of Hailey Bieber, Sasha Calle, Olivia Munn, and Kylie’s sister Kendall. In recent times, she’s been the architect of Kylie’s bouncy waves across Khy campaigns, a British Vogue shoot, and the 2025 Met Gala.
This time, they start with Jenner in the chair, doing a simple blowout with a large round brush. Next, they pin back her bangs and add in some layers of clip-in extensions for thickness and dimension.
Farris then takes an inch and a half curling iron to create classic curls—that’s where it’s curled under, toward the face—with the bottom sections. Next, she switches to an inch and a quarter on the iron settings to change the size of curl—she starts at the top, and pulls it out in a swift, twirling motion. The biggest secret? “Doing a bunch of different types [of curl] so nothing lays together uniformly,” advises Farris.
She keeps taking new sections of hair and wrapping it around the curling iron like it’s a wand, traveling all the way to the ends to get that flippy, classic blowout look.

Next, Farris takes a section of hair close to the bangs and lifts it away from the face using the iron. Once she hits the front, she then puts down the curling iron and goes in with a flat iron—it’s then much easier to control the shape of curl with the new tool. “I see people struggle getting volume around the parting line and usually it’s because you’re using a curling iron,” Farris says. “A flat iron is going to help give you more control.”
Throughout the TikTok, vibes are high. Jenner winks at the camera and touches up her lips. “I wish I had a good way to describe this…” Farris says, laughing.
“So basically it’s the most complicated tutorial ever,” jokes Jenner.
Farris continues, creating curls in varying lengths and directions that gives Jenner’s hair that signature volume, body, and texture. On occasion, Jenner tips her head down to spray it with more product, avoiding any dry or crispy curls, and flips it back. Farris finishes any last ends and necessary touch-ups with the precise flat iron.
Jenner has never been afraid of experimenting with her hair—who could forget the 2010s King Kylie era, and her penchant for a candy box-colored wigs, blue dip-dyes, and yards of extensions. But in recent years, she’s found a rhythm for more classic, refined hair looks. Much of that work was crafted by the late Jesus Guerrero—the celebrity hairstylist known for working with Jenner as much as Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez, Charli XCX, and Rosalía, among others who—died at just 34-years-old in February.
When photographed on increasingly frequent occasions with boyfriend Timothee Chalamet, Jenner has kept her glam more pared back: Simple glossy makeup and a clean complexion, with her hair in relaxed, loose waves.
And now, we’re back in Kylie Jenner’s posting era. Earlier this week, Jenner responded in the comment section of a TikTok asking for details on her breast augmentation. “445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! Silicone!!! Garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol,” she replied. Next up? Some tips on flashing that photo-ready, mega-watt smile, please.
