Le Sirenuse hotel in Positano may arguably be one of the most Instragrammable spots on the Amalfi Coast. Emily Ratajkowski was spotted wearing a swimsuit from the hotel’s own ready-to-wear brand Le Sirenuse Positano while sunbathing on the premises last summer, and Vogue’s Hamish Bowles made his first visit in April, stopping by for drinks with Antonio and Carla Sersale, the owners of the hotel.

Le Sirenuse has already translated its iconic appeal into a Resort line and bottled it into a fragrance, Eau d’Italie. Now, it’s released a collaboration with artist Luke Edward Hall for a collection of ceramics and menswear.

The capsule consists of mugs, plates, swim shorts, a Hawaiian shirt, and a T-shirt, all adorned with Hall’s whimsical drawings. “I already make ceramics so it seemed like a natural fit!” Hall says. Like many of his projects, it is color and a sense of playfulness that connects his work, rather than a specific medium. “I wanted it to look a bit like it had been delicately scribbled on a napkin after a glass of wine at lunchtime,” Hall says of depicting the view from the hotel.

A print no doubt destined to become a best seller among Timothée Chalamet fans is a Matisse-like motif inspired by the shirt that Elio wears in the final heart-wrenching scene of Call Me by Your Name. A big fan of the book as well as director Luca Guadagnino himself, Hall was ecstatic when he found out the book was being turned into a film. Since its release, Hall says “the shirt Elio wears . . . had been so much on my mind that it seemed natural to take inspiration from it.” Hall brings us a fresh perspective, juxtaposing the traditional scenery of Positano with a more modern reference. It is exactly how Hall describes Le Sirenuse: “The interiors are smart but also colorful and fun—I love the mix of modern art and antiques.”

The Luke Edward Hall for Le Sirenuse capsule collection is available now online or in the two Emporio Sirenuse stores in Positano.
