Meghan Markle is a month away from taking her first steps as an official royal, but she s already looking the part. Earlier tonight, at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London, she joined her fiancé Prince Harry for a Women’s Empowerment reception hosted by Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. For the occasion, Markle swapped out her go-to slick suiting and in favor of a classic LBD—done her way.
Markle’s reasonably priced Black Halo dress (it retails for $375) recalled the asymmetric silhouettes made famous by Roland Mouret and Victoria Beckham. The below-the-knee length was appropriately demure for a monarch-in-training, while the off-center deep V up top was daring without revealing too much décolletage. A coordinating Gucci clutch and Aquazurra ankle-strap heels finished the look with flair to spare.
