Welcoming guests into her home in Manhattan’s Noho, La Marque’s Meredith Melling offered friends Chandon and walked them over to one very plush rolling rack. The wares on hand were Galvan—the London-based evening label—and cofounder Katherine Holmgren, in a blue sheer-paneled jumpsuit of the brand’s design, was showing Jessica Joffe, Jennifer Fisher, Clara McGregor, and more a series of figure-combing silk gowns and satin separates.
“The jumpsuits are a real staple, and just look at the color palette,” pointed out Melling as Joffe took a seat on the blue velvet couch. The gathering was a celebration of Galvan’s Spring 2017 collection, and Melling welcomed friends alongside La Marque’s Valerie Macaulay, Holmgren, and Galvan cofounder Carolyn Hodler.
A highlight of the evening? A cozy dinner of roasted chicken, meatballs, kale salad, and roasted sweet potatoes and squash. It was a very homey, comfortable affair—what better way to envision slipping into a rich blush pink silk-satin Galvan slip dress, or any number of elegant and still easeful looks from the collection?
