No one was trying to be low-key during the shows in Milan, at least not out on the streets. Vogue’s man on the ground Phil Oh snapped more than a few fine examples of how to dress to catch the eye through striking highlighter hues. There was an entire crew of influencers and editors decked out in Fall 2018 neon nylon for the Prada show, and others who mixed and matched bright blues and greens in with their otherwise subtle clothes.
These are not easy colors to wear well, but lo and behold, the Fashion Week crowd managed to show how it can be done. It’s about having no fear and a go-big-or-go-home attitude. Why not try on a bright orange leopard suit and matching bag? Or, take a risk and pile on shocking electric shades from head to toe.
