Last night, in the High Line Room at The Standard, Prabal Gurung, Claire Distenfeld, Monique Péan, Bee Shaffer, and more gathered to toast and celebrate Nell Diamond’s long-awaited bedding line, Hill House Home. “The only thing that could get me out of bed tonight is Nell’s bedding,” teased Cleo Wade, as she made her way into her seat at the cotton candy–centerpieced and pillow-lined dining room table. “She’s the most elegant person,” added Wade of her friend.
The guest of honor, Diamond, couldn’t have radiated more warmth as she made her way around the long table to catch up with friends over a first course of classic Caesar salad. “It means so much to me,” glowed Diamond, as Jennifer Fisher and Meredith Melling looked on. “I’ve literally been obsessed with beds my whole life. There’s nothing I love more than beds and bedrooms, and it’s my dream to bring people beautiful spaces in their home. I’m so excited to do that with Hill House! We launch today, in case you haven’t heard me tell you that a million times, and I’m so excited—I will literally make any of your beds for you, at any time, even if it’s not with our sheets, because I really, really love to do it!”
The buzzy dinner, which had guests jumping seats throughout the night to dish on holiday travel adventures over strip steak and roasted chicken, culminated in a dessert of coconut sorbet and more than a bit of enthusiasm for the individually monographed Hill House pillows found beneath each seat. It’s safe to say a few of the lot, which included Mia Moretti and Dorian Grinspan, will be picking up the full set soon enough.
