Last night, e-commerce giant Net-a-Porter attempted world domination, or at least a takeover of Beijing (they feted designer Mary Katrantzou), Los Angeles and Paris. On the sunny West Coast, Hollywood A-listers including Marisa Tomei, Demi Moore (with daughters Tallulah and Scout), and Patricia Arquette, joined bright young things Camilla Belle, Langley Fox, and boys about town Emile Hirsch, Will Peltz, and Alex Pettyfer in toasting designer **Rosetta Getty’**s eponymous collection’s debut on the site. As guests took in the scenic view from Getty’s home, the night was capped with a festive performance from Rain Phoenix and Jesse Jo Stark followed by an intimate performance from Getty’s husband Balthazar.
The weather was a bit frostier in Paris, but inside the stunning glass-roof private residence on Saint Germain’s Rue de Varenne, a warm and cozy evening was on tap with more than 100 candles lit for the occasion. Designer Isabel Marant and Net-a-Porter president Alison Loehnis hosted an intimate dinner to celebrate the launch of La Montre by Isabel Marant on Net-a-Porter. Inspired by her father’s watch, Marant’s “La Montre” is a limited edition Swiss-made timepiece that reflects her characteristic style. “I aspired to create the androgenic synthesis of my ideal watch; a watch that brings back joyful and loving memories,” she said.
Friends including Isabel’s partner, Jérôme Dreyfuss, Caroline de Maigret, Juliette Binoche, Sofía Sanchez Barrenechea and her fiancé Alexandre de Betak (in charge of the awe-inspiring decoration), Aymeline Valade and Malgosia Bela (both in Isabel Marant) mingled by the fireplace eating oysters and foie gras before moving into the open kitchen space for sea bass tartare and chicken straight from the wood fire, an exquisite menu created by French chef Bruno Verjus.
