It’s only a few days into 2025, and actor Nicholas Galitzine already has it made. The star (and internet heartthrob) reveals to me why he’s been relatively quiet since his September birthday: He’s been prepping for his role as He-Man in Masters of the Universe. “I’ve been lifting all the heavy things in the world to get into He-Man shape,” says Galitzine, a bit flirtatiously. Between the muscle gains and occasional Instagram Story—got to give the followers a little glimpse into those results—he also found time to star in Emporio Armani’s latest campaign for the fragrance Stronger With You.
For many of us, our first fragrance memory starts at the drugstore with body mists and sprays, and while Galitizine may be a celebrity, he’s just like us in this instance. “My first body spray was Axe,” the actor proclaims. And it wasn’t until he was around 13 years old that he began to explore the world of fine fragrance. “I was always a dirty little kid, always in the mud, always outdoors. And then suddenly I got a sense of hygiene and that girls did not like smelly boys.”
While he cannot remember what that first big-boy fragrance purchase was, he does remember that his mother took him to the shops to buy his first bottle of cologne. These days his scent of choice is, of course, Stronger With You. Notes of cardamom, pink peppercorn, and violet leaves are cut by just-sweet-enough candied chestnut and vanilla for a scent that’s strong without being overpowering.

When it comes to applying, Galitzine is a pulse-points kind of guy. “I think that is so pretentious when people spray their perfume and walk into it.” Instead, his routine consists of spraying it on both sides of his vast shoulders, and on those days when some extra fragrance might be needed, he may dab some on his wrists. He adds that he keeps it away from his clothing out of an abundance of caution for the designs; he’d never want to potentially damage one of Mr. Armani’s creations.
“I’ve loved Mr. Armani’s work for a very long time, and to embody and represent such an iconic brand is something I’ve always wanted,” he explains. “It’s just a reflection on the last two years of hard work.”
While some actors have different fragrances tied to each character they portray, that isn’t part of Galitzine’s prep for a role—yet. “I might try it in my upcoming work because you can just create separation between work and home life,” he says. Perhaps we’ll find that Stronger With You becomes He-Man’s signature scent.
