As we reach the end of the year, the Run-Through team is looking back at some of our favorite pieces of culture from 2023. For the purposes of today’s episode, that covers books, movies, television shows, music, politics, viral internet moments, and memes. Editors, writers, and producers from across Vogue took the mic to share some of their standouts of the year, from Bad Bunny’s SNL performance to Britney Spears’s memoir and Beyoncé’s Renaissance world tour.

It was also a big week for fashion news, given our very own Chioma’s induction into the New York Times’s 71 Most Stylish People of 2023. Balenciaga also showed its pre-fall 2024 collection in Hancock Park, Los Angeles, debuting some very LA-specific looks and suggesting the revival of the Juicy Couture tracksuit (…or did it never really leave?). And, lest we forget, A$AP Rocky was seen sporting a Bottega Veneta suit in a paparazzi-esque photo that has now become an official image for their campaign. Clever!

Later in the show, Chloe spoke with her Vogue colleagues Chloe Schama (yes, this is a two-Chloe episode!) and Taylor Antrim about their favorite books and movies of the year. Chloe Schama shares several great reads, all by women, that engrossed her late at night—while for movies, the trio moved beyond Barbenheimer to make some more artful selections (no shade!). Among them was team favorite Past Lives, starring the acting and style icon Greta Lee.

Below, we’ve included Chloe and Taylor’s top book and movie picks (in no particular order). For even more book, movie, television, and podcast recommendations, look out for our various year-in-review lists right here on Vogue.com
